Not About You

 I create deeply immersive installations which aim to catalyse a sense of play and escape from our everyday reality by altering our environment using sound, space and light, this creates a compelling stream-of-consciousness narrative, by which I can communicate my unique perspectives of reality which allows the viewer’s mind to think freely from their everyday reality. I create work which questions what lies behind the motivations in our lives which drive us to live in certain ways and follow particular paths. My work aims to offer more than just the consumption of media; I prompt the viewers to feel the tensions between the external realities and the illusions of realities we experience in our minds. The experiences I aim to create call attention to the motivations behind the shifting perspectives in our everyday lives, which inform and misinform us, conjuring a heightened awareness of our mind, body and the world we experience. My work intends to create new perspectives of these external forces and influences, to enable us to see that we have agency, can make choices, and bring a level of control back into our lives.
